Funny Stories · Motherhood

Some Days Motherhood is a Biological Hazard.

There are moments in motherhood that nobody prepares you for.

The sleepless nights? Sure.

The tantrums? Expected.

But nobody warns you that one day you'll be chasing a laughing toddler around your lounge while trying to avoid stepping in a rogue poo.

Thanks, Indy Rose.

At just 21 months old, she apparently woke up and chose absolute chaos.

Somewhere between me making breakfast and trying to remember what day of the week it was, she quietly removed her nappy after doing what can only be described as a very successful number two.

Before I could react...

She launched the nappy.

Like an Olympic athlete going for gold.

The result?

One perfectly placed turd sitting proudly in the middle of my lounge floor while Miss Indy Rose danced around it like she'd just won the lottery.

Honestly, I don't even know what dance I was doing.

It was somewhere between panic, disgust and trying not to laugh.

Picture a panicked chicken flapping around the living room while simultaneously shouting, "NO! NO! NO!" and trying to stop a toddler from standing in it.

Motherhood really is glamorous.

Eventually, the biological hazard was contained, the lounge survived, and Indy looked rather pleased with herself.

I'm not sure who was more traumatised...

If you've ever questioned whether you're doing enough as a mum, just remember...

Sometimes success is simply getting human poo off your carpet before anyone else finds it.

And honestly?

I'll take that win.
