Becoming Mum At Sixteen Was Never The End Of My Story.

This isn't a story about teenage pregnancy.
It's a story about refusing to let one chapter decide the rest of the book.
Everyone assumed they already knew how my life would turn out.
I was sixteen.
Pregnant.
Still technically a child myself.
Some people offered support.
Others offered opinions.
Most offered predictions.
The funny thing about predictions is...
they're usually written by people who don't have to live the life you're living.
I won't pretend it was easy. It wasn't.
There were days I questioned everything.
Days where I felt miles behind everyone else my age.
But becoming a mum didn't end my life.
It gave it purpose.
Everything I've built since has been because of those little people, and no, I haven't always made the best decisions, nobody is perfect and I certainly don't claim to be.
Everything I do is for them, not despite them.
