Welcome to My ADHD Brain at 6:47am.

It's amazing how a day can feel impossible before the sun has properly come up.

The children were arguing.

Not one child.

All of them.

And it wasn't even 7am.

My brain immediately went into overdrive.

"What am I doing today?"

"I need to work and make SOME progress even if very little forwards is better than static."

"But what do I start with?"

"I've got that dental appointment to attend with 1 of the kids."

"I need to get everyone ready."

"School run."

"Breakfast."

"Where are the shoes?"

"Why is everyone suddenly needing something, all at the same time?"

My brain doesn't organise thoughts.

It throws every single one at me at exactly the same time and expects me to somehow catch them all.

When you're trying to build a business with a brain that is constantly in overdrive and five children, it can feel like having fifty browser tabs open in your head...

...while someone keeps pressing play on different videos!

I desperately wanted today to be productive.

I wanted to know exactly what I was working on.

Instead, I felt completely overwhelmed before breakfast.

Some mornings, it feels like I'm already behind before the day has even started.

But here's the thing I've learned.

I don't need to have everything figured out by 7am.

I just need to get through the next ten minutes.

Pack the lunches.

Find the shoes.

Get everyone to school.

Do the dental app.

Then tackle the next thing.

Some days, building a life isn't about huge wins.

It's about surviving the chaos long enough to keep moving forward.

Although...

Around 6:58am I was already asking myself one very important question.

Is it bedtime yet?
